Solara is an app that presents the vast data of the cosmos to users as material for reflection, and generates interpretive text using Gemini AI. The reading results in this app are offered as one example of interpretation derived from evidence (astrological data).
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") sets out how user personal information is handled in the astrology application "Solara" (the "App") provided by Koji Hayashi (App Store edition) and arrayu Inc. (Google Play edition) (collectively, "we," "us," or "our").
1. Information We Collect
The App may collect the following information.
1-1. Information you enter into the App

This information is necessary to provide the App's reading features and is entered voluntarily by the user. A nickname does not need to be your real name.
* "Astrological calculation" above includes use as calculation input across all of the following features provided by the App:
- Astrology such as the natal chart, transits, and progressions: natal chart, house calculation, aspects (120 lines), transits (current planetary positions), progressions, lunar phase cycle (new moon, full moon, catasterism), the 144-title diagnosis, and more
- Drawing and interpreting tarot cards
- Consultations with Stella (the Stella consultation feature)
- Star readings (interpretive text across 5 categories: love / abundance / work / dialogue / overall)
- Astrocartography and directional energy scores on the map: relocation, directional energy (16 directions), Daily Transit (transit times of 10 planets × 4 angles), Forecast (one-year outlook), ACG (astrocartography), Locations (comparison of bases), and more

1-3. Information we do not collect, and handling of GPS
- The App does not continuously collect your device's GPS location in the background. Only when you use the "current location" feature on the Map screen does the App obtain location information a single time, through your explicit action, and use it solely for displaying the map on your device and setting your current base. The obtained location information is not sent to our servers.
- The App does not request access to contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or notifications.
- The App does not embed Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any advertising SDK.
2. Purposes of Use
We use the information we collect for the following purposes.
- Displaying the App's astrological calculation results
- Generating reading-interpretation text by Stella
- Authorizing the "Cosmic Pro" subscription and restoring purchases
- Preventing fraudulent use and the unauthorized unlocking of paid features through device tampering
- Investigating and improving malfunctions of the App
- Complying with this Policy, the Terms of Service, and the disclosure based on the Specified Commercial Transactions Act
3. Where Information Is Stored
3-1. Information stored only on your device
As a rule, the following information is stored only on your device (SharedPreferences) and is not sent to our servers.
- Name, date of birth, time of birth, place of birth
- Current base information
- Display history of reading results
- App settings
3-2. Information sent to servers or third-party services
Among the App's features, fraud prevention, generation of reading interpretations by Stella, and subscription management send the following information to third-party services over the internet.
- Device attestation information (App Attest / Play Integrity): For fraud prevention (device attestation), this is sent to Apple Inc.'s App Attest service (iOS edition) and Google LLC's Play Integrity service (Android edition). It contains only an anonymous device identifier and app-launch information, and does not include your personal information or reading results.
- Astrological calculation results (planetary positions, geographic coordinates, consultation prompts, etc.): To generate interpretations by Stella, tarot interpretations, star readings, and relocation interpretations, these are sent via our server (Cloudflare Workers) to the Gemini API provided by Google LLC. The information sent includes the consultation text you enter, birth information (date of birth, time of birth, place of birth), astrological data based on your natal chart, and the geographic coordinates you select. After being used to generate interpretations, this information is handled in accordance with Google's terms so that it is not retained on the Gemini API side.
- Subscription identifiers (Apple ID / Google Play ID / Sign-in ID) and purchase information: For billing management, these are sent to the subscription-management service RevenueCat, Inc., and used to verify and restore purchase status. Identifiers are treated as anonymous IDs.
- Map tile requests: To display the map screen, requests are sent via our server (Cloudflare Workers) to the tile server of OpenStreetMap (OSM Humanitarian). No personal information is included.
The Cloudflare Workers server we operate does not permanently store the content described above. Aside from a cache of subscription identifiers (up to 5 minutes) and an edge cache of map tiles (up to 24 hours), no personal information or reading results are recorded on our servers.
4. Sharing with Third Parties
We do not provide your personal information to third parties except in the following cases.
- When you have consented
- When there is a disclosure request based on law (court order, inquiry from an investigative authority, etc.)
- When we entrust information to the following third-party services to the extent necessary to provide the App's features:
- Apple Inc. (device attestation via App Attest [iOS edition]; subscription processing via StoreKit [iOS edition])
- Google LLC (device attestation via Play Integrity [Android edition]; subscription processing via Google Play Billing [Android edition]; generation of reading-interpretation text via the Gemini API [Stella consultations, tarot, star readings, relocation interpretations])
- RevenueCat, Inc. (management of subscription status)
- Cloudflare, Inc. (API relay via Workers and map-tile delivery)
- OpenStreetMap Foundation / Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (provision of map tiles)
5. Deletion of Data
You can delete data related to the App in the following ways.
- Deleting all in-app data: Uninstalling the App deletes all data stored on your device. However, if iCloud backup on iOS or Google Drive backup on Android is enabled, some data may be retained as a cloud backup according to those settings. To delete the backup completely, please delete the backup separately from each cloud service's settings.
- Unlinking sign-in: You can sign out from the Account section of the Sanctuary screen. Signing out removes the link between this device and RevenueCat.
- Canceling your subscription: On iOS, cancel from the "Settings" app → Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Android, cancel from the Google Play Store menu → Subscriptions.
- Request to delete personal information: As a rule, we do not retain your personal information on our servers (see Section 3). If you wish to delete any information that may remain with our partner services (such as RevenueCat), please contact us at the address in Section 9.
6. Your Rights
As a rule, we do not permanently retain your personal information on our servers (see Section 3). However, with respect to personal information about you that we may hold, you have the following rights under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws.
- The right to request disclosure
- The right to request correction, addition, or deletion
- The right to request suspension of use or erasure
- The right to request suspension of third-party provision

7. Disclaimer Regarding Reading Results
The App's reading results (including interpretations from Stella consultations, tarot interpretations, star readings, relocation interpretations, and the like) are content for entertainment and self-discovery based on astronomical data and the tradition of astrology. They are not professional advice on medical, legal, financial, psychological, or health matters. Nor do they predict or guarantee future events.
Solara's readings are reference information for understanding yourself, and they may be inaccurate or may not fit you. Do not take at face value any result that feels off, and please make important life decisions—such as relocating, changing jobs, or marrying—based on your own will and on consultation with your family and professionals. We bear no responsibility for any damages arising from actions taken based on the App's reading results.
For disclaimers regarding the use of the App in general (including detailed grounds for disclaimer such as communication failures, suspension of third-party services, natural disasters, errors in user-entered information, and outcomes of actions based on reading results), please see Article 8 of the Terms of Service.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may change this Policy as necessary. The revised Policy takes effect when posted on this page. If there is a material change, we will give prior notice within the App or by support email.
