TERMS OF SERVICE

Solara is an app that presents the vast data of the cosmos to users as material for reflection, and provides interpretive text generation using Gemini AI. The reading results in this app are offered as one example of interpretation derived from evidence (astrological data).

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the astrology application "Solara" (the "App") provided by Koji Hayashi (App Store edition) and arrayu Inc. (Google Play edition) (collectively, "we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, the user is deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 1 (Scope of Application)

  1. These Terms apply to all relationships concerning the use of the App.
  2. The App can be downloaded from Apple Inc.'s App Store and Google LLC's Google Play, and each store operator's terms of service also apply to the use of the App. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and a store operator's terms of service, that store operator's terms of service shall prevail.

Article 2 (Accounts and Authentication)

  1. The App allows you to use its main features without registering an account.
  2. The user may optionally authenticate via Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, which enables restoration of the Cosmic Pro subscription across multiple devices. However, data such as reading results, profiles, and settings is stored only on the device and is not restored or synced across multiple devices.
  3. The user shall manage their own authentication credentials at their own responsibility.

Article 3 (Subscription "Cosmic Pro")

3-1. What Is Provided

The App offers a paid subscription, "Cosmic Pro." By subscribing to Cosmic Pro, you can use paid features including the following.

Cosmic Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of each billing period, it automatically renews for the same period, and the fee is charged to the user's store account.

3-5. How to Cancel

You can cancel the subscription at any time from each store's management screen.

Even after canceling, you can continue to use Cosmic Pro features until the end of the current billing period.

3-6. Refunds

Refunds are subject to each store operator's terms. We do not provide direct refunds that bypass the store operators.

3-7. Family Sharing

Cosmic Pro is not eligible for Apple Family Sharing or the Google Play Family Library.

Article 4 (Nature of Reading Results and Disclaimer)

  1. The App's reading results (including interpretations from Stella consultations, tarot interpretations, star readings, relocation interpretations, and the like) are content for entertainment and self-discovery based on astronomical data and the tradition of astrology. They do not predict or guarantee future events.
  2. The App's reading results are not professional advice on medical, legal, financial, psychological, health, relationship, religious, or similar matters.
  3. Solara's readings are reference information for understanding yourself, and they may be inaccurate or may not fit you. Do not take at face value any result that feels off, and please make important life decisions—such as relocating, changing jobs, or marrying—based on your own will and on consultation with your family and professionals.
  4. We bear no responsibility whatsoever for actions taken by the user based on the App's reading results, or for any results arising from such actions.
  5. For important decisions, always consult a qualified professional in the relevant field.

Article 5 (Prohibited Conduct)

In using the App, the user must not engage in any of the following acts.

  1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
  2. Acts that destroy or interfere with the functioning of the App's servers or network
  3. Decompiling, reverse-engineering, modifying, or making unauthorized access to the App
  4. Circumventing the App's authentication or billing systems to fraudulently use paid features
  5. Redistributing or selling the App's reading results without authorization as a commercial fortune-telling or fortune-teller business
  6. Impersonating another user or a third party
  7. Other acts that we deem inappropriate for the operation of the App

Article 6 (Intellectual Property Rights)

  1. All copyrights, trademark rights, patent rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the App belong to us or to the legitimate rights holders.
  2. The user may use the App's reading results within the scope of private use. Sharing on social media and the like (such as posting screenshots) is permitted as long as the App is mentioned. However, altering a reading result and passing it off as if we had created it is prohibited.
  3. The map tiles used in the App are provided through the contributions of OpenStreetMap Contributors and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (CC BY-SA / ODbL).

Article 7 (Provision, Modification, and Termination of the Service)

  1. We may change the content of the App without prior notice to the user.
  2. We may suspend or terminate provision of the App without prior notice to the user in any of the following circumstances:
    • When performing system maintenance or updates of the App
    • When provision of the App becomes difficult due to earthquake, lightning, fire, power outage, natural disaster, or other force majeure
    • When provision of the App becomes difficult due to an accident affecting communication lines or communication facilities
    • Other circumstances in which we deem it necessary for the operation of the App
  3. When terminating provision of the App, we will endeavor to notify the user in advance to the extent possible. If provision of the App is terminated during the valid period of Cosmic Pro, we will not provide a refund (including any pro-rata calculation) for the unelapsed period that has already been paid. Refunds of subscription fees are subject to the terms of the store operator (Apple or Google) you subscribed through, and we are not involved.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

  1. We make no warranty whatsoever regarding the content of the App, including its accuracy, completeness, usefulness, currency, fitness for the user's purposes, safety, or the continued provision of any particular feature.
  2. We bear no responsibility whatsoever for any damages incurred by the user or a third party (including emotional distress, lost opportunities, business losses, data-restoration costs, costs of using alternative services, and any other damages), regardless of cause, arising from the inability to use the App, delays in use, loss of data, inability to display reading results, failure to generate reading results, errors in calculation results, or inability to display interpretations from Stella consultations, due to any of the following circumstances:
    1. Failures, congestion, delays, or disconnection of communication lines, communication equipment, network facilities, or wireless communication networks
    2. Failures, suspensions, specification changes, service discontinuations, terms changes, or fee-structure changes of third-party services we use (including but not limited to the Gemini API provided by Google LLC, RevenueCat, Inc., Cloudflare, Inc., Apple Inc., Google LLC, the OpenStreetMap Foundation, the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, and Nominatim)
    3. Version upgrades, maintenance, system maintenance, server updates, or database migration of the App
    4. Bugs, errors, feature malfunctions, calculation errors, display disturbances, or erroneous or inappropriate content in interpretations from Stella consultations of the App
    5. Specification changes, addition or revision of features, or changes to the service content of the App
    6. Earthquakes, tsunamis, typhoons, floods, lightning, fire, power outages, storms, volcanic eruptions, or other natural disasters
    7. War, civil unrest, riots, terrorism, strikes, lockouts, or other social disturbances
    8. Restrictions on business activities due to the spread of infectious diseases, pandemics, or epidemics
    9. Orders or regulations of governmental, administrative, or judicial authorities, or the amendment or enforcement of laws and regulations
    10. Cyberattacks, DDoS attacks, unauthorized access, hacking, virus infection, introduction of malware, or data tampering by third parties
    11. Circumstances arising from the user's device environment (OS version, free storage, airplane mode, power-saving mode, network settings, security-software settings, VPN use, proxy settings, etc.)
    12. Malfunction, loss, theft, damage, water damage, modification, or rooting/jailbreaking of the user's device
    13. Mismanagement, loss, leakage, or unauthorized use by a third party of the user's authentication credentials (Apple ID, Google account, password, etc.)
    14. Effects on reading results caused by errors, inaccuracies, or incompleteness in information entered by the user (date of birth, time of birth, place of birth, nickname, consultation content, etc.)
    15. Whether reading results turn out to be accurate or inaccurate, differences in interpretation, or discrepancies with the user's expectations
    16. Actions taken by the user based on reading results or interpretations from Stella consultations, and their results (including investment decisions, medical decisions, financial decisions, health decisions, relationship decisions, decisions about moving or relocating, decisions about changing or finding jobs, decisions about marriage or divorce, and any and all other decisions and actions)
    17. Troubles, disputes, or damages arising between the user and a third party or another user encountered through the App
    18. Circumstances we could not have anticipated, or circumstances similar to those listed above
    19. Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
  3. Even in cases that do not fall under the circumstances set out in the preceding paragraph, we bear no responsibility whatsoever for damages incurred by the user or a third party arising from the use of or inability to use the App, except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
  4. Even where we are liable, the amount of damages shall be capped at the most recent one month's subscription fee that the user paid us in connection with use of the App at the time the event causing such damages occurred, and in no case shall we be liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, lost profits, special damages, or punitive damages.
  5. This provision may be limited by the Consumer Contract Act and other mandatory laws, and to that extent this provision shall not apply.

Article 9 (Changes to the Terms of Service)

  1. We may change these Terms as necessary.
  2. The revised Terms take effect when posted on this page. If there is a material change, we will endeavor to give prior notice within the App or by support email.
  3. If the user continues to use the App after the Terms are changed, the user is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.

Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. The interpretation and application of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
  2. In the event of a dispute between us and the user in connection with the App, the district court having jurisdiction over the location of us as the provider of the App (the Nagoya District Court for disputes concerning the App Store edition, and the Gifu District Court for disputes concerning the Google Play edition) shall be the court of exclusive agreed jurisdiction for the first instance.
